The Kirov Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant, as all enterprises that are part of UMMC, carries out a policy of social responsibility. At JSC KZ OTsM, we promote favorable working conditions, thereby attracting and retaining highly qualified staff.

We also work with young people and veterans and assist employees in financially difficult situations. We also support cultural and sports events and provide preventative medical care for our employees.

Our company pays a lot of attention to the needs of young employees. In 2001, our newly created Youth Panel was charged with helping young staff to adapt to the work place. The Youth Panel actively cooperates with other youth organizations within UMMC and regional enterprises and organizes leisure activities for young employees.

Our company provides employees with many opportunities to take part in cultural events and sports activities. Cultural events, including, for example, concerts and special anniversary events are organized for employees and their children at the Metallurgists’ House of Culture. Employees can improve their health and fitness by taking advantage of the sports facilities and swimming pool at the Korall Sports Complex. In addition, we organize many sports and athletics meetings between different enterprises – eleven of which have become regular events. In addition, a company tourism facility – one of the best in the region – was reestablished.

JSC KZ OTsM also has a sanatorium facility to which employee and their families are given preferential access. In summer, employees’ children are given the opportunity to stay at different leisure facilities and health resorts in the Kirov region, as well as other resort regions of Russia.

The collective agreement at JSC KZ OTsM provides assistance to families of limited financial means – such as those with many children or single parents – through the granting of interest-free loans for the purchase of household necessities.

Assistance is also given to retired employees, who are given annual passes to the company’s sanatorium. To honor retired employees, they are also given additional pension benefits.

As a result of its policy of social responsibility, JSC KZ OTsM has been voted twice among the best in the all-Russian contest Russian Organization for Social Responsibility and was awarded diplomas by the government of the Russian Federation.
