01.02.07 | THE KZ OTSM INCREASED ITS ROLLED STOCK PRODUCTION RATE BY 5.2%

2006 the JSC “KZ OTsM” (an affiliate of the UMMC) produced 32 824 tons of rolled metal (105.2% more comparing to 2005), including 13 575 tons of rolled copper (125.4%).

Last year the KZ OTsM upgraded its export volume to 4 620 tons – almost three times more comparing to 2005.

According to the KZ OTsM general director Alexandr Darensky the plant was quite a success last year despite the growth of copper prices which increased the products’ cost. “It is due to the well-organized sales strategy that we have managed not only to keep the production and sales volumes’ pace but also to increase it by expanding the client base”, - noted Alexandr Darensky.
