JSC KZ OTsM focuses on the quality of its manufactured products. In order to be a competitive supplier, projects increasing the technical level of production are being developed and implemented.
Since 2000, efficiency of the plant's main producing departments has been significantly raised due to a targeted development.
The hot-rolling mill heating furnaces were overhauled; this enabled to increase the products initial stage quality. Basic cold-rolling mills were equipped with the rolled-metal thickness automated adjustment systems.
Furnaces for rolled-metal annealing are being re-equipped, in order to provide rolled metal of high mechanical properties. This is reached by replacing the old process with high-convection shielded gas annealing.
The round-rolled metal manufacture process has been almost completely changed - from main production line to finishing facilities. The rods production line, used in automated machine-tools, is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities of the German company Schumag. These provide the rods calibration, turning polishing, trimming and chamfering.
The up-to-date measurement tools are used throughout the manufacturing process and in the finished products control. The manufactured products are tested, using analytical devices of the leading European companies (Leko, Spektro, Eltra, Perkin-Elmer). This ensures the products timely testing and their meeting up-to-date quality requirements.
