1939
The USSR Soviet of People's Commissars orders the construction of a brass-rolling plant in Kirov.

1941
Construction was halted with the beginning of World War II in Russia, but resumed two months after the end of the War, in July 1945.

1952
Auxiliary departments were completed and put into operation, including the shape-casting, mechanical, and electrical repair shops.

1954
The overall construction and assembly of the main production line was completed. The woodshop, the plant's main laboratory, and electrical repairs laboratory at the repair shop were started.

1955
December 5. The first 1000 kg L62 brass alloy ingot was cast. Using the new OKB-259 furnace, this contributed to the development of the melting and casting processes.

December 27. The Trio-750 hot-rolling mill successfully produced the first L 62 brass sheet, which was cut into sections and approved by the technical control department.

1956
January 12. The Minister of Non-Ferrous Metallurgy P. F. Lomako ordered to put into operation the electric casting and rolling shops, as well as the central boiler room and auxiliary facilities. The date of this order is generally considered the founding date of the JSC Kirov Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant.

1962
In cooperation with the Paton Institute of Welding and Giprotsvetmetobrabotka, the new RF tube-welding technology was developed and a pilot batch of brass tubes for heat-exchange facilities was produced.

1966
A tube-rolling shop was incorporated into the plant auxiliary facilities. In March, the first batch of duralumin welded tubes was produced.

1973
By 1973, consumer goods production commenced, with an oil-paint paste from zinc-containing sublimate coming first. In addition, a department for the large-scale production of furniture fittings, key billets, and electrical components was put into commission.

1975
The first national precision rolling shop was put into operation, producing high-precision rolled products according to international standards. Equipped with up-to-date domestic and foreign technologies, the shop provided the automobile plants in Volzhsk and Gorky and electric machine companies throughout the country with rolled copper and brass.

1982
Commissioning of the tube drawing shop No. 4, including tube-welding and coil-drawing mills, heat-treatment and check-out equipment.

1990
Combined continuous horizontal die-casting and cast brass strip cold-rolling technique was developed.

1992
December 7. The Kirov Non-Ferrous Metal Processing Plant became a public joint-stock company.

1996
New products developed. Complex alloys first applied in coinage band production.

2000
JSC KZ OTsM was incorporated into the Ural Mining-and-Metallurgical Company (UMMC); this event enabled the plant to resume extensive technical retooling. A 1600 t power horizontal hydraulic press was put in commission; the first LS-59 hot-pressed rod was produced.

2002
Tube-rolling shop overhaul and retooling resulted in the replacement of welded tubes with seamless drawn-tubes, rods and sections. Production of copper ball anodes for export and crystallizer copper plates started.

2003
JSC KZ OTsM put in operation a high-precision calibrated rod processing line, manufactured by Schumag, a German company.

2005
The company began investment into the development of new metal manufacturing projects.
